Summer Programing for Youth, Ages 7-12
The Youth Playhouse
Dates:
Week 1:
Monday July 14th - Friday July 18th
Monday August 18th - Friday August 22nd
Week 2:
Monday July 21st - Friday July 25th
Monday August 25th - Friday August 29th
Cost:
$200 per child for each week OR $350 per child for each two week session.
Eligibility:
Children age 7-12 are able to take part in any one week of classes or any two weeks of classes. By taking two weeks of classes back-to-back the child
is able to take part both learning theatrical and dramatic skills and perform in one of our final productions.
Week One:
The first weeks, or our “Week One” classes are geared toward providing specific skills in a range of dramatic activities including acting, improvisation,
mime, clowning, singing and dance. The schedule for these classes is listed below.
OUR PROGRAM
Week Two:
The second weeks, or our “Week Two” classes are geared toward producing a show that is open to parents and guardians as well as other members of
the public. Every child involved will be given at least one lead role and several ensemble roles. The schedule for these classes is listed below.
Location
Classes will take place on the first floor of Unitarian Place 206 Concession St. The location allows us to spend time outside at the nearby Memorial
Center when weather permits. It is also entirely accessible, equipped with a handicapped washroom, elevator and a ramp that leads to the front
entrance.
